We combine a state of the art aerial drone and 15 metre telescopic pole mounted camera into what we call our 'Aerial Inspection Package'.

Inspecting those hard-to-reach areas like roof slopes, flat roofs and chimneys can be challenging, but our Aerial Inspection Package offers an innovative solution. At Lockwood Chartered Surveyors we inspect heavily in the latest equipment to deliver accurate and detailed inspections across East Anglia.

Your home will no doubt be your biggest investment and having to spend money on the fabric of your property such as the roofs, gutters, walls and chimney can be a blow to your cash flow and detract from enjoyment of being in your new home.

This is how our Aerial Inspection Package can help;

  • Cost effective: A drone and pole camera inspection is a cost-effective method of obtaining insight into the condition of those hidden areas which are typically neglected, expensive to access and expensive to put right.
  • Improved safety: An aerial drone and pole camera can be used in what are usually hazardous and hard to reach areas.
  • Faster data collection: A drone can cover a large area in a shoter time period.
  • Increased accuracy: Rather than having to speculate and advise clients on the potential for hidden defects or make an assesment from ground level using binoculars, we can comfortably detail the issues and risks posed and dependent on the level of survey specify a repair.

Understanding the overall design of your roof to direct contractors: Here we provided a plan view the property for our client along with more detailed photos to help pinpoint areas of improvement and give a better understanding of the overall roof design and coverings.

Roof damage: Broken tiles, defective and blocked valley gutters, worn flashings, worn and ageing flat roofs and blocked gutters are a common sight.

Damp Sources: Leaks and cracks permiting rain ingress. Chimneys are the last place where money is invested and defects are all too common. Prior to the availaibty of such technology previous surveys would have been unable to provide client advice.

Strucutral Concerns: Cracks to the upper elevations. Cracks are better viewed from high level. In some cases finer cracks are impossible to see from ground level.
